Originally from Virginia, Amber has lived in Jacksonville for most of her life and considers it to be home.  Her specialties include color correction, blonding, precision cutting, and she prides herself in making the integrity of the hair her top priority.  Amber has been in the hair and makeup industry for 10 years, and she graduated from Staunton School of Cosmetology.  She considers opening a salon her greatest accomplishment, it enables her to fulfill her passion of creating beautiful looks, as well as training, mentoring, and educating stylists.  Amber loves the challenge of drawing inspiration from an abstract object and translating that look on a strand of hair.  She also looks to social media and current fashion trends to stay current with the latest looks.

 

When she’s not working in the salon, you’ll probably find Amber spending time with her family, sipping red wine at Three Layers Café, having dinner at Chomp Chomp, or crafting.  She has a large “fur family” which includes a cat, three dogs, a pig, three turtles, and the salon fish, Hairy.  Her favorite movie of all time is The Sandlot, she loves the color pink, could listen to Amos Lee all day, and enjoys scoring treasures at local thrift stores.  Amber’s favorite feature about herself is her eyes, and she couldn’t go a day without mascara.  When a guest sits in her chair, Amber focuses on long term hair goals rather than just a single visit. She’s never met a stranger, and wants her guests to feel comfortable and relaxed, like they’re spending time with an old friend, even on their first visit.
